Mother's Day can be a really difficult day for some...
It can remind women of how amazing and powerful and influential they are, or it can bring up a lot of tough emotions- especially for those that not currently getting to experience motherhood as they would have hoped, or connecting with their own mothers as they would like.
Regardless of what this holiday brings out in you- whether it be positive or negative emotions- my heart goes out to you and you are seen.

With Mother's Day coming up so soon, I wanted to create a collection of jewelry in honor of mothers, and in honor of all women regardless of where they are on their motherhood journey. I wanted to create jewelry fit for every situation and every phase of life, because they are all valid, beautiful and equally worthy of awe. Let me be more specific with this.
This is who we wanted to create and design jewelry for this Mother's Day:
Mothers...
Single mothers...
Those that one day hope to be mothers...
Those that are unable to be mothers...
Those struggling with infertility...
Those grieving the loss of a child...
Those grieving the loss of their mother...
Those with strained relationships with their mothers...
Those with strained relationships with their children...
If you find yourself anywhere on this list- or perhaps even in multiple places on this list- I love you and I adore you. It can be so DANG hard, but please keep hanging in there.
- The Butterfly Motif -

If you look through this collection you will see a very clear motif of butterflies. I wanted to take a quick second to explain my rationale and thought process behind that choice.
To me, butterflies symbolize change, regrowth, and evolution. Similar to the process of caterpillar making its cocoon home and emerging as a completely new creature, I feel that women do that same thing as they become mothers. An entirely new part of us gets to come out and be created from that kind of role being placed upon us. I think it is the most beautiful thing in the world. Now I do want to clarify my thoughts that ALL women can go through this change regardless of whether or not they go through the process of pregnancy and giving birth. There are many ways to become a mother, certainly.
I also loved the motif of the butterfly because I have heard it used in reference to finding solace in the loss of loved ones. This idea of still feeling that person's influence around you or sweet memories of them swiftly flying by before fluttering off again. I love this as a symbol to remember and honor lost babies, children, any other people that have a special connection to you.
Without further ado... please meet the newest mother inspired jewelry, including some of my favorite butterfly designs, that bring hope, joy, and solace to my soul when I don't feel it naturally.
